Suzu Ishii

大阪生まれ
曽祖父が日本画家で絵画に親しみのある環境で育つ。
幼い頃から、心にあるものを描くという行為は自己表現の一部であった。
のち京都芸術大学に進学。
学生時代に千住博画伯に見出される。
大学卒業後、千住博画伯に師事し、彼の元で十二年の日本画家としてのキャリアを積む。

エネルギーの強さを感じさせるエキゾチックで南国のテイスト溢れる作品の数々には日本画の技法がベースにある。
岩石を使用した岩絵具は大地＝地球そのものの色だ。
そこに大きな魅力を感じ、制作には主に岩絵具を用いている。

2019年独立
SUZU ISHII ART事務所を立ち上げ、国内外で幅広く活躍中。

SUZU ISHII

Born in Osaka.
Her great-grandfather was a Japanese-style painter and she grew up in an environment familiar with art.
Since childhood, painting what was on her mind was part of her self-expression.
Later, she entered Kyoto University of the Arts.
While a student, she was discovered by the painter Hiroshi Senju.
After graduating from the university, she spent 12 years of her career as a Japanese-style painter under the master Hiroshi Senju.

Her artworks, which are full of exotic and tropical taste with a strong sense of energy, are based on Japanese painting techniques.
Mineral pigments using rocks are the colors of the earth itself.
Feeling a great attraction to it, she mainly uses mineral pigments in her artwork.

Independence in 2019.
Established SUZU ISHII ART OFFICE and widely active both in Japan and abroad.
